Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Crown International USA LLC (“FAMOSA USA”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit this website or contact us through it. It applies to this website only.

1. Who we are

We import and distribute premium Brazilian melons and watermelons to wholesale buyers in the United States. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy (its “controller”). 2. Information we collect

  • Information you give us. When you request a quote, we collect your company name, your name and e-mail address and, if you choose to share them, your phone number, the products you are interested in, your estimated volume, your delivery area and your message. We also receive what you include when you e-mail or call us.
  • Technical information. Like any website, ours receives data your browser sends with each visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the page you came from. Our hosting provider uses it to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. When you use the quote form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the request comes from a person, using signals such as your IP address and browser information.
  • Analytics. Cloudflare Web Analytics shows us aggregate figures such as page views, referring websites, countries and page speed. It does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you.

We do not ask for sensitive information, such as government ID numbers, financial account details or health data. This website has no user accounts and takes no payments.

3. How we use your information

  • To answer your quote request and follow up on a business relationship with you.
  • To send you a copy of your request by e-mail.
  • To operate, secure and improve the website, including blocking spam and abuse.
  • To comply with the law and to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send you marketing e-mails unless you ask us to.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another country with similar laws, we rely on these legal bases: taking steps you request before a contract (answering your quote request), our legitimate interests in running our business and keeping the website secure, and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. After you send the quote form, your browser keeps your first name in session storage so the thank-you page can greet you; it is deleted when you close the tab. Cloudflare Turnstile may use technologies that are strictly necessary to detect bots, as described in the Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that process it on our behalf and only to provide their services to us: Cloudflare, for hosting, security, bot protection and analytics (privacy policy), and Resend, for delivering the e-mails sent by the form (privacy policy).
  • Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
  • A buyer or successor if our business is sold, merged or reorganized, under the same protections described here.

6. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. When we receive information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on safeguards recognized by law, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider takes part in it.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep quote requests and business correspondence for as long as we need them to answer you and manage our relationship, and after that only as long as tax, accounting or other legal obligations require. The website itself has no database: form entries are sent by e-mail and are not stored on the site. Technical logs kept by our hosting provider are deleted after a few days.

8. How we protect your information

The website is served only over HTTPS, uses security headers, has no login or database and limits how many requests each visitor can send through the form. Only the team members who handle quote requests can read them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • correct information that is inaccurate;
  • have your information deleted;
  • object to or restrict some uses, and withdraw your consent where we rely on it;
  • receive your information in a portable format.

Residents of U.S. states with privacy laws, such as California, may also opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do neither. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

To make a request, e-mail us at sales@crowngroup.com.br. We may ask for information to confirm your identity, and you may also act through an authorized agent. We will answer within the time the law requires, generally 30 to 45 days. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Brazil, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We do not track visitors across other websites, so we do not change how the site works when your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Since we do neither, nothing else changes.

11. Children

This website is meant for business buyers. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Links to other websites

This website links to other sites, such as Agrícola Famosa and our social media pages. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. We review it at least once a year.
